      Unlimited account capped at 15mb?

I am currently on the 20mb unlimited broadband connection and have just stumbled across within the mysky account area my broadband connection details. It states on the website the following:-
      Download Speed
Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to
      15.0Mb (15360Kb)
      Upload Speed
Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to
      1.2Mb (1216Kb)

My question is why would my connection download speed be set to 15mb when I'm on a 20mb unlimited account? Has anyone else any experience of this or had it happened to them too - can it be adjusted if so how or is the norm???

      Thank you for your help.

Re: Unlimited account capped at 15mb?

You're paying for an up-to 20mbps service, subject to line length and quality of the line itself from the exchange. You'll only get what the line will handle, no matter what package one may be on. We need to see router stats to see if you can push out more. One set of stats (link below) from where the router is plugged into at the moment and then one set of stats from the test socket (link below on how to do that).

How to get your router statistics

How to test your ADSL in the Master Socket

Hi the first thing to do is How to get your router statistics then one from How to test your ADSL in the Master Socket so we can look at the Attenuation and see if there are any issues with the line. Plus the packet is upto 20MBs the speed depends on the disance you are from the exchange which is Attenuation. The link explain Attenuation. Sky router stats (speed, noise, attenuation) explained Did you realise that the package you are showing is the connect package. Were you getting 20MBs before.

No one has mentioned it, but the 'Unlimited' part refers to the amount you are allowed to download, not your speed.
