      Help SamKnows and Ofcom - Monitoring your Broadband Performance

      SamKnows are looking for volunteers to participate in the trial with Ofcom to monitor Broadband Speed and Performance over the next 24 months...

      With an upload/download of 4Gb a month, not many who are not on Unlimited will be volunteering.

      We can set a lower testing profile for the Gb limited packages, that's why we ask for Package details and set up the units accordingly.

      That's good to know, I applied the last time when I had 40 Gb to play with, but now that I only have 10Gb, it could be a bit dodgy. How much would it require with that allowance.

      We could reduce down to around 1Gb or lower depending on the limits. It would just mean tests are run every 4 hours rather than every hour.

      Any idea how long you have to wait for your login?
      Received mine yesterday Paul and I have it plugged in working. I have sent an email to Samknows asking when the testing actually starts.
      I must say I was surprised to get a Cisco Wireless N router, I thought it was a dedicated monitoring machine we were going to get. Do you think they will unlock it and let us keep it when the Testing is over?

      I just had an email telling me that my monitoring machine is on it's way to me. Isitme why was you surprised to get that router??
