      Thank you Sky

We are quick to complain and slow to praise.

I would like to “thank Sky”

I have been with Sky for many years with only a couple of problems.
Customer service was always constructive and polite.
This newsgroup have been informative and helpful.
The only reason I’m leaving is I was told
“I was over my download limit 10 Gb, If I went over again in the next 5 months I would be upgraded and charged an extra £5”

That’s fair enough, but when you have two ex students at home, who think they are still on the UNI broadband the probable £15 a month I couldn’t accept.

So like others I have moved to o2.
I contacted sky support they gave me my Mac Key there and then, contacted o2 and was connected within a week! No complaints there.

      So goodbye and thank you.

      Re: Thank you Sky

Admirable but I am confused that you are thanking SKY for trying to push you into spending another £5 a month.

They have done the same to me and countless others which appears to have been a part of their pricing strategy long ago. "get them in and lock the door", I had the basic package and was told that the Mid package would better suit my needs, so I upgraded on their advice. My needs havent changed over the years yet I now MUST move from Mid to Unlimited ?

The only thing I do is browse and play online games i.e. COD on PS3 ..... so how they derive their stats is questionable .... and how they are forcing people to upgrade is misleading if not criminal IMHO.

The thanks was for the service, and yes making the move "hasssle free".

There is also the "Mods" on here (like IsItme and Saturday) and the abundance of free knowledge that is available.

I wouldn't hesitate to come back, if the terms and price were right.

Although none of this is supplied by Sky as this is an unnoficial forum. There are a few Sky employees who post here though, not sure what Sky themselves would make of this, hopefully they wouldn't mind/

      Re: Thank you Sky

By all means I would agree with thanking the lads on here ... certainly helped me far more than any SKY call centre ever did.

Regards thanking SKY ? .... well thats an entirely different matter

      Re: Thank you Sky

LOL I wouldnt doubt it. TBH it really just comes down to pot luck with the call centres. On occasion I did get somebody who was on the ball and keen to help ... might have been you .... but you would have been in a minority
