      Only 5MB (Sky Unlimited)~

I had sky unlimited since December and still i have 5MB speed.

when i call somebody or pick up the phone, broadband light goes out and loses internet connection.

My Phone always make cracking or hissing sound as well.

I tried test Socket, and i got 13MB so i think there is a problem inside of my house.

People suggested me to replace microfilters so i have replace all the microfilters and still it doesnt work.

Some people said it is an internal wiring problem.

      Well

We have a line connection like this

Master Socket------(I dont know what this is but, it has two slots to put in at the front and one long line is connected underneath of it and one slot is already connected with black wire which connects into our phone) ---- white long line goes into micro filter --- router ---- computer

      Re: Only 5MB (Sky Unlimited)~

if you have 13Mbps in your test socket then either the faceplate or the wiring from it is the cause of the noise lowering your speed. Buying the facveplate I linked to will bypass the extensions and give you the same speed in the test socket. Buy one, have the router near it using the cables Sky supply and then run cables to your devices or use wireless...

Unless you have 2 lines coming into the property therein lies your main problem, the phone line needs to be connected to a filter

The long line connected underneath should come from the outside and is the line from the exchange to your master socket.

The slot that has the black wire in, take that wire out of the slot and put a filter in the slot and then connect the black wire back in to the filter.

See if that cure the problem

Is it plugged in with a normal BT plug or is it hard wired. A picture would be helpful

      Re: Only 5MB (Sky Unlimited)~

If it is a standard BT plug there is a retaining clip on the side of the plug, push this in and pull it our. If it is an American type plug the retaining clip will be on the top or bottom. Push this down and pull straight out. This setup would be very unusual.

Does the socket faceplate have a horizontal joint across it?
