    Master socket problem

    This is a discussion on Master socket problem within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; What exactly do you have connected to the test socket? Specifically, any extension cables?...

      What exactly do you have connected to the test socket? Specifically, any extension cables?

      Going back to post 3, were the wires connected to the faceplate? If so did you connect the extension wires back on to the faceplate? You are certain that this is the Master socket, usually the first one on the line into the house.

      Ok guys.

      They reconfigured the line and the speed has gone up abit. These are the stats posted 1-2 hours after it was reconfigured.

      Should I expect the speed to go higher overnight (I was told I'd be getting 5mpbs.).?

      Or wait a few days for it to settle?

      If there more to be had it would show when you reboot the router. I don't think there is any way you are going to get 5Mbs, LLU connections do not require time to settle. Did you ask them to try your line on G.DMT?

      Thats what I was thinking.

      Also I think my broadband should be on ADSL2 as it cant handle it from what Im seeing. Ill phone again tomorrow and ask them to change it to G.DMT. Thanks.
