Recent decrease in speed on Unlimited

A couple of weeks ago I noticed the router had rebooted itself and the upload speed had halved, so I rebooted the router again manually. This fixed the upload speed but since then my download speed has been considerably lower - my stats are:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1531 kbps 574 kbps
Line Attenuation 59 db 37 db
Noise Margin 10 db 8 db

Previous to this the downstream connection speed averaged 2400 kpbs and I've been with sky unlimited for a couple of years now at that speed. I've checked My Sky since it happened and each time and it says there's no line testing in progress, but I've not been able to get the higher speed back even with repeated rebooting. Am I stuck with this new speed or is there anything I can do?

It looks like you have been transferred to ADSL2+ and it has capped your speed. Call Sky and ask them to take the cap off, or return you to G.DMT.

Do you have Sky Phone rental? Many on that who have been moved to the SVBN are finding their speed is reduced.

Nope, still with BT for the phone rental, so it must be the other cause you mentioned, thanks - I'll give them a call and ask them about it.

      Thanks again!
