      I'm not 'ignoring the advice', I posted my results and then decided to message them online until somebody posted telling me the thing to do next...

      Obviously the best thing now is to ring Sky, although I've already rung them like 5 times in the past and they are pretty much no help at all...

      This morning I'm at :

      Connection Speed 736 kbps 288 kbps
      Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
      Noise Margin 15.6 db 6.0 db

      Speed test:

      Download speed : 0.12mb/s
      Upload speed: 0.22mb/s

      Just spent 2 hours talking to Sky...

      The women didn't seem to have a clue, she told me to open command prompt, type 'netstat' and then told me there were too many programs/problems (couldn't tell which she said, and when I asked which she said she just said 'ok') taking up bandwidth... I then told her that if this computer was the problem, I could shut it down and test on a laptop and it should be faster... Did that and the speed on the laptop was actually slower.

      I asked about g.dmt but after holding for 10+ minutes she put me onto some technical guy who said something about it not being for my package... Once again it was hard to understand what he was saying but he said it wasn't available... He then told me to do a speed test via this BT thing and I got like 250 kb/s...

      He's forwarded it to BT and and they're going to get in touch with me over the next few days... He said they might be able to get it up to 1-2MB

      Found out I'm actually on Sky Max by the way which is up to 8MB

      I don't know why he should get BT involved, unless you are on Connect..
      What 'BT thing' did he ask you to use. You cannot use the Official BT Tester with an LLU line so if it was that, you are definitely on Connect.
      Connect uses the BT Max package, are you certain you are not on that? In addition, your reference to up to 8 mb suggests you are on Connect as Sky Max/Unlimited is up to 20 Mb.

      If you are on Connect, get your MAC and get out, asap..
