It's not just the upload attenuation which has changed, what is the physical setup on the line and have you changed the filter yet?

Paul, sorry i'm in a Sky mood tonight!

Slightly different set up here, single BT point with a filter plugged directly in, a slipper is take from this filter for the sky box and the phone. Router plugged into the filter.

Nothing in terms of the installation has changed in about a year. The one thing i did notice was that the upload speed reduced however i wonder if that was to do with Sky changing the mid package terms.

just looks like the upstream has been capped, hence the SNR going up...you on Ulimited or Everyday?

Re: Sky Mid - Upstream Noise Margin Increase

If the first stats listed are the latest ones then the reason the noise margin has changed is because the speed has increased from 606 to 1024. Has she recently upgraded to Unlimited?
I would be more concerned with the download speed, which is very low for the attenuation. It should be around 16 Mb.

Nope other way about, the first stats shown were what they were since she got changed from Talk Talk to Sky over a year ago.

All the results after that are what she has been getting over the last few months.

She is on the Mid package or whatever that is called now, 8 meg. Do you think the change to the packages could be the problem?

Re: Sky Mid - Upstream Noise Margin Increase

If she is on the Mid/Everyday package the maximum upload is 606kbps. T hats why the noise margin is so high. The opposite of what I said in my last post.

She should still be getting 10Mb download, so this needs checking. Plug into the Test socket, link below.
