I didn't ask if you unplugged everything else, I asked if all the other sockets were dead (not working) you need to check as they should not work once you have exposed the TEST socket, if they do they the wiring is wired incorrectly which could be causing your poor stats/speeds.

Remove the faceplate again and try the other sockets with a phone, you should just get a dead line (no dial tone).

It's raised to CST, so the line will be reconfigured when someone picks up the ticket.

I'd prefer not to openly say on a public forum, but it's possible.

Anyway, instead of waiting 72 hours, you can ring up anytime and ask the first support guys for the ticket ID that was opened and be transferred through to CST.

      Re: Slow speeds

Your new stats were better, no doubt about that, but I'm sceptical whether you'll push out what the line should be able to handle. Keep plugged into your test socket with no extension cables in use and call up 08442410515, option 1 option 3. Ask the first support guys to pass you through to the customer solutions team and rhyme off the reference number to the agent in cst. They'll check what the line is apparently capable of handling, whether configuring your line brings you to that speed and if not, then further diagnostics/testing will follow to find why your line isn't training in at the speed it should.

      Re: Slow speeds

I notice that you live in the 'concrete cows' area. This was one of the places cursed by BT's cost cutting use of aluminium in phone lines. Could be this is part of your problem. MK for a long time had the worst broadband in UK.

Call Sky, use your ticket number to get through to CST and ask them to lift the cap on your line.
