Suddenly got very poor download speeds Hi
This is my 1st post on this forum so sorry if i seem thick or slow.
Been with Sky BB for just over 3yrs on mid/everyday package with a download speed of between 1500kbps and 2000kbps and while nothing great its been ok.
Anyway about 10 days ago notice it seem to be slow so checked my router stats and found it had dropped to less than 400kbps.
here are my stats,
ADSL LinkDownstreamUpstream
Connection Speed384 kbps480 kbps
Line Attenuation64.0 db41.4 db
Noise Margin20.9 db10.0 db
My direct distance to my exchange is 2.0 km and by road is 3.2 km according to the checker on this site.
The checker also says under the RAG code info that the RAG code is AGEC and under line info it has 'compatibility issue found'.
The above stats were taken from the test socket so i dont think its a wiring problem in the house.

Re-sync the router (pullthe mains) and if this doesn't increase your sync speed, you need to ring Sky to get them to uncap the line.

I'd already re-synced the router this morning before posting this and was wondering if i'd been capped.
Anyway just phoned Sky and they put me back up to 2330kbps possibly a little quicker than i had before and about the max i can get as i appear to have quite along line at 3.9 km.
Anyway many thanks for a quick response
