I'm not allowed to go to unlimited

Has anyone encountered the following problem:-

I tried to upgrade to unlimited from everyday as the 'new' 10GB limit is far too low and the 6 month free offer seems an ok deal. After 1 week of calling Sky and being told it'll be done tomorrow, then the next day etc etc. I been told today that the capacity on my exchange is at max and the line speed can't be upgraded.

Currently I'm getting about 8Mb which is fine. I more concerned with removing the 10GB limit. I said this to the customer services guy and he said I simply can't have the product.

So.... What happens when I go over my 10GB limit since my hands are tied? Do they charge a data usage fee or upgrade me to unlimited which they can't do?

You are already on the mid package which uses the LLU and means you are already on the network, what he said is rubbish there is no reason why you cannot be on the unlimited, phone them again.

If you do more than 10gig for 2 months in a 6 month period Sky will upgrade you to unlimited.

Somebody else had this problem and all they did was hammer the connection for 3 months, Sky eventually got the message and upgraded them.

Is there any likelyhood of sky charging me. The customer services guy mentioned Sky Connect but that is for off network customers so I assume they can't put me on that.

Re: I'm not allowed to go to unlimited

nope it's part of Sky's T&C's that if you go over 10 gig in a month they will write you a letter, if you do another month in the next 6 months and they will move you.

It seems that once again Sky's systems are in a bit of a mess when people want to give them more money and they don't want it.

If the OP is not on Connect, he is probably on SVBN which seems to be in a right mess.

Re: I'm not allowed to go to unlimited

What stats will show I'm on everyday.

The usage tool shows I'm on everyday and I'm charged 5 per month so I assume I'm not on connect.

      I'll try ringing them again.
