Can I 'merge' two Sky broadband accounts?

I have two friends that are moving in together. As it happens, they're both on Sky broadband and therefore both have @sky email addresses. Is it possible for the girl who's moving out to cancel the sky broadband account at her old house, but retain her email address by 'moving' it over to be effectively being paid for by the new one at my mate's house?

My mate's spoke to Sky but he doesn't think they understand what he's after.

      Thanks

the email address is for life if you keep using it, as it's a web based email account, i'm now with O2, but also use my sky email address

not sure about the sky BB contract though

It should not be necessary to make any changes to the contract. If your friend plugs her laptop(?) into the other router she should be able to download and send email with no problems. There is no need to change anything, except possibly the wireless security key.

Yes, we've actually been able to try her laptop and the two accounts work fine from my mate's house - but the belief was that this would only last for as long as she was paying for the Sky broadband account at her house and it would cease to work once that account was closed. It's sounding like that's not true, and it'll continue to work - even through POP3?

Google do the Sky mail and so as long as the mail account is used then it should stay active.
