      Slow connection

Not sure if this is the right thread to be on but maybe one of you young bright things can help this silver surfer.
Why does my comp just lock and stop. No response from cursor. Have to wait minutes before it activates again.
Why is my telphone crackling so I can hardly hear callers and they can hardly hear me. All this on Sky.
Could phone sky but from past experiences do not want to spend an hour or more listening to music I do not like before someone answers. Besides at my age who wants to waste an hour of their life!
This broadband is so slow that when I registered on here it said to go to my email for a message. Did this and guess what. No message as whole system is just so d slow. Thanks

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

Do you pay line rental to Sky or to BT?

Can you plug just a phone into the master socket and remove everything else and then check again if it is noisey. If it is they you should report a line fault to whoever you pay your line rental to, once this is fixed, it should also sort out the slow speeds.

Do you have an ADSL filter plugged directly into the phone socket?

Are you using an extension either plug in or fixed?

Re: (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users

I pay my line rental to Sky but will start with the first suggestion of just having my phone in the phone socket and will remove the router link from it.

Thanks will see how this goes but have horribly feeling will have to contact Sky and we all know what that means.
