Hi as User05 says if you have LLU that is the best and yes there are many threads about connect Customers leaving in contract here`s connect T&Cs I get throttled from 4pm till 1am now
Do any restrictions apply to the service?
To ensure we provide a sustainable quality broadband service to our customers, we continuously monitor and efficiently manage the Sky Network as a whole. To do this, during peak times (from 5pm to 12am each day), we may slow down the speed that all Sky Broadband Connect customers can get on applications such as peer-to-peer networking and newsgroups, which we consider use up a lot of bandwidth and have a negative affect on other customers. There are no restrictions in place for applications such as browsing, email, streaming, instant messaging and VOIP during peak times. We do not put restrictions on our Connect network outside of peak times

remember your cooling off period is 8 days, you can cancel at any point within this timeframe for any reason. if you cant get any LLU services though you could just see how it goes after the stabilization, you shouldnt have a problem leaving connect even in the contract period if you decide you want to try another provider

tryed the BT tester, doesnt like my username?

The login/user name entered on this tool doesnt match that discovered by querying the network for your Telephone Number/Service ID. Please check your telephone number (or user name) and try again. If problem persists please contact your service provider.

Thumbs down Re: Moved from talktalk to sky broadband... bad move?

This is getting beound a joke, im trying to do some web design work with a live site and its taking forever to do anything!!

my upload is fine its just the downloading this is a clear case of extreme throttling, can anyone else on sky connect tell me if this is happening to them? if this is going to be a perminent thing im outa here!! i can't continue with this!

i did call sky today they informed me that there is 10 days of up and downs... so fair enough... but come on, 0.3mbit? i also had a huge arguement about the fact that they wont let me use my own router, i asked them... so what if id like to kit my house out with wireless "n" what would i do then if you cant give me my password for MY account, she said i wouldn't be able to have wireless N... this service is a joke!! telling me what hardware i can and cant use in my own house/LAN...

beginning to seriously take a BIG dislikeing to sky in a very very big way!!!!!!

god i thought tiscali were bad.... i had no idea....

rant over :P sorry guys n gals but this is seriously annoying me
