      seriously thinking of writing to watchdog ref sky connect.

      poor service. nuff said. they need to either sort it out (im sure they have the money) i'm sure they would'nt like to be a watchdog topic.

      The argument would be that they do advise on the traffic shaping etc, I think the first route would be small claims although Sky wouldn't let it go this far.

      They will let you leave if asked so to be fair to them (a little anyway) at least they arn't forcing you to stay like some ISP's have in the past. I remember one customer of mine who was trying to leave Tiscali, what a nightmare that was.

      If you are polite and highlight the problems they will let you leave without staying the full 12 months. It may be worth pointing out, politely, that their traffic shaping is more extreme than their own terms and conditions suggest. The terms say that streaming and browsing are not shaped and yet technical staff say they are.

      Extreme is not the word for it.

      My, normally around 6mb connection is currently at 240k.

      Back to the 1990's for me.......

      Hi the annoying thing it does not get any better the more connect Customer that are joining the less band width and lower speeds. From a Bt speed test I have seen a connect Customer with only 1kbps download

      Hi the thing is it was 5pm till midnight. Now 4pm till 1am all down to the amout of Customers joining connect and not enough bandwidth.
