      Help, can anybody advise me on these stats.

      Below are my router stats, i'm after abit of help understanding them. Should i be able to get better speeds, or is this what im stuck with??

      Connection Speed 3069
      Line attenuation 50db
      Noise Margin 7db

      I would try the test socket and post the stats from there look like there is a little noise on the line slowing your speed, link below in my sig with further details.

      Its pluged in to my main socket, I dont have a test socket. I had abit of trouble last year and disconnected the loop from my main socket and my speed double straight away. I've also changed the filters. My router packed in about 3 months ago ( sagem ) and sky replaced it with a netgear. Does any of this help?? thanks for your reply

      oh and im about 3.5km away from the exchange

      just to confirm.. you have a filter plugged directly into the master socket with a short grey adsl cable connecting to the router? is your sky tv box connected to this filter as well? do you get any noise, crackling etc on your phone line?
