Just as an example I upgraded from Everyday to Unlimited on 9 December. I immediately saw I had an unlimited download limit rather than the 10GB but nothing happened as far as speed was concerned. I remained syncing at 10Mbps. As it was getting close to Christmas I just left things as they were occasionally checking my account on My Sky to see if DLM had started. All of a sudden on 14 January I checked my router stats to discover that I was now syncing at 13 Mb and my upstream had increased to 768Kbps. Still had no word from Sky and my account still shows that DLM finished on 10 August. I guess sometimes these things take longer than you expect.

Well I guess I ought to leave it until after the ten day period stated in the letter before phoning so I don't get fobbed off with the 'you haven't left it ten days like the letter stated' excuse. Rest assured though, if it hasn't started moving by the end of the ten days then a phone call will be made.

Does anyone else find that the broadband connection details section of their My Sky account just keeps saying "We are currently unable to display your broadband connection details."? Does anyone know why this is? It would be some reassurance to know that line tests were at least underway.

Re: Upgraded from Base to Everyday but speeds exactly the same as on Base!

I upgraded from Everyday to Unlimited yesterday.

My stats still say that my line has not changed.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9213 kbps 606 kbps
Line Attenuation 39.5 db 21.6 db
Noise Margin 10.8 db 18.5 db

I guess that I will leave it a few days before contacting Sky.
Should I just leave my router on and let it re-sync automatically, or do I need to switch it off then on again until it re-syncs?

When I do a speed test, I currently get around 7.95 Mb/s downstream.
I will be interesting to see whether I get much more after the re-sync and DLM period.

MySky currently says that I am now on Unlimited but is unable to display my connection details.

It can take 72hrs for the DLM process to start, you should see some movement then although you won't get much more than you have now, maybe 1 or 2mb

nah dont need to switch router off ToeKnee its actually important that you leave the router plugged in and switched on during the DLM period

Re: Upgraded from Base to Everyday but speeds exactly the same as on Base!

Well today there is some movement today at last. Speeds have now doubled and now read: -

Connection Speed 4091 kbps 606 kbps
Line Attenuation 35 db 18 db
Noise Margin 18 db 9 db

This is a step in the right direction but still along way off 10mb. Hoping this will double again during the next few days.
