      Just connected to Sky unlimited

      hi,
just been connected to sky unlimited after 2years with *Be unlimited, swop over went smooth enough, connected mid morning on the day they said would happen.

The one thing Im disappointed with is the downstream bitrate, it is only 4079kbps.
When I was with *Be it was 21000ish and they started me on that. Before that I was with AOL and they started me on the max too, so why are sky starting me on the measly 4079kbps??
It has totally messed up my gaming and Ive gotto put up with this for approx 10 days. If I had know that I would have stayed with *Be 24meg.

If you read your welcome letter it will tell you that you will start at 4mb and then during the testing period your speed should rise to it's maximum stable speed.

It can take a few days for DLM to start and it can run for 10+days.

Sometimes the process can stall so if you post your current router stats we can see what if anything is happening.

Also, 4mb should be easilty enough to game!!!

It's just DLM, it'll be done in 10 or so days - you could try and BS an agent to end it early but they shouldn't do it...

Depends if DLM has started, mine hadn't after 7 days solid connection so SVBN agent has now set my line at the fastest it will support - 16434 kbps; shame as was used to 19955 kbps with o2

Re: Just connected to Sky unlimited

it has as the upstream start speed on DLM is 512kbps so the fact it's now on 608kbps (showing 604kbps on adsl2+) would suggest it's running...
