Re: Did i make the right decision?

I would stick with cable its normally alot more stable you get the speed you get and it doesn't normally change where as adsl can go up and down due to line conditions and sometimes the weather. I was on Virgin cable for years too until i moved and could not get it again and I do wish I could...

On another note I mis my virgin tv the on demand stuff was great much better than sky's

I'd guess around 10 -12 Mbps with ADSL 2.5 Km from the exchange, depends how the cables run, cos they ain't line of site.
If you want to keep 20mbps stick to cable.

I had no problems with my Unlimited broadband from Sky. It is normally very reliable as long as you are on the LLU

I wouldn't be too bothered worrying at the moment, Sky TV is faultless also usually.

Re: Did i make the right decision?

      i agree with Newsreader
i have been with sky for 2yrs now and had no real problems to speak of.......bb been of a few times but only for a couple of mins which is fine by me

i was with virgin before i came to sky and was with them for about 8 yrs i had the 20mg but never got anything near that i was lucky to get 15mg and like you say its expensive i was paying 30 for bb and the telephone NO tv....now i pay 40 for line rent ,bb max, and tv. so much cheaper.
