      Sky in Africa ?

      Hi

      I am moving to Cape Town South Africa from the UK and was wondering if it is possible to get Sky TV packages or any type of Sky/ Decent Sat Product there .. (DSTV sucks and is overpriced)

      What is a Dragon Cam and would this help in Cape Town

      I think you will be way outside the footprint for the Sky satellites we use here in the UK and as such, any cards designed for Sky won't work.

      depends where in africa that you are, the satellites that cover the UK are just off the equator, so some of africa is actually covered.

      Bear in mind, it is illegal to actually have Sky in countries other than the UK and Ireland.

      You can find the Astra footprints here i believe Sky use the satellites located at 28.2 east which does not cover South Africa.

      Cape Town South Africa .. as far south as you can go

      if your that far south, then you have no chance for getting Sky.
