Sky speed seems to be very low. STATS INCLUDED

      Hi there,

i recently moved over from BT to Sky Max UNLIMITED 20meg (BroadBand connected 3 days ago) and i have ran a few speed checks. Each one has come out with DL speeds of around 3.5mb a second.

Using the Sky router tool my line apparently supports 4mb. I can live with the 3.5 however when i come to download files (i've tried loads of sources) from the internet i am only getting speeds of in-between 225kbs and 300kbs. This i think is quite low!

I have my router connected directly into the master socket with the filter in place.

I have attached a copy of the stats from my router - can anyone see anything amiss?

      WAN PPPoA 231998 344618 0 176 3166 38:56:48

Connection Speed 4093 kbps 604 kbps
Line Attenuation 49 db 29 db
Noise Margin 13 db 16 db

      Thanks in advance

      Regards

      Aaron

you're on DLM which runs for 10 days from activation so don't turn the router off...

When DLM has finished try connected to the test socket, then repost stats.

When the stats haven't changed for a few days, say two days then you know the DLM process is finished, it may have already finished.
