Want sky for broadband? NO WAY

I moved to Sky for a cheaper, better phone line and broadband service - HA! It's not only costing me MORE than my origianal provider but it's rubbish too!
As an IT teacher I don't want hear the usual pushoffs such as: it's my gear and therefore not their problem - I was with Orange for years and NEVER had such studpidly crazy bad slow connection speeds.
      I'm not happy!
No point in wasting ant more of my time with Sky's 'customer service' and why? b'coz SKY DON'T CARE THAT THEIR CONNECTION SPEED IS RUBBISH -THEY HAVE MY CASH FOR THE NEXT YEAR. #
IF I COULD GET OUT OF MY CONTRACT WITH SKY, I WOULD GO BACK TO ORANGE AND BEG FOR MY OLD SERVICE BACK WHERE I COULD LOG ON TO MY EMAIL, DOWNLOAD STUFF AND USE MY X-BOX WITHOUT SUCH A RIDICULOUSLY SLOW - FREQUENTLY TO THE THE POINT OF NON-EXISTENT - BROADBAND SERVICE.
YEP JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF SKY'S RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE

its quite hard to help you with your problems from that post :s can you post a description of the setup of your broadband and router stats or at least let us know what speed you are getting/what you were estimated when you joined sky? or should this post maybe have gone in the feedback section, rather than broadband help?

Understandable to be angry if you're getting a poor service, but branding the whole customer service as 'rubbish' is rash. Someone may be able to actually help you if you told us the issue, instead of branding the staff as 'rubbish', of which some frequent this forum.

As the other guys have pointed out you may want to post some useful info that would allow people to help rather than a load of capital letters.
      Router stats for starters.

If you were on Connect I think I could agree, but your profile says Max/Unlimited so something must be a miss. Not many people complain about Max/Unlimited.

Re: Want sky for broadband? NO WAY

I've found out that Sky block certain sites (youtube, rapidshre, etc) at certain times and it even puts me off getting the max package (when it becomes available in my area). Just knowing that they do this puts me off. They're actually blocking certain sites. It just puts me off Sky altogether.

I can get to Youtube any time of day so who told you they block it? you are on Connect which in itself is a whole different story.

Not sure what your point is. Do you just want to rant or do you want help.

As others have said, if you are on Max/Unlimited then something is wrong and is normally easily sortable.

I find your statement re Sky's CS a bit strange as you say you refuse to call them. Have you called them, what did they say.

Take a deep breath, relax and post back with the details of your problem. 99.9% of max/unlimited problems are solved either directly via this forum or by us helping you on how to approach sky and what to say to get it sorted.

I have a rock solid 18.5Mb/1Mb+ connection on Unlimited with no loss of access to anything at any time as far as I can discern. For me, Sky's LLU service is simply great at a wonderful price. I'm sure other LLU users will confirm.

As for the OPs original rant... as suggested above, post your stats and I'm sure the very helpful people here will do their best to solve the problem... go on, you say you're an IT teacher. Let us know our teaching staff have some redeeming qualities. You know it makes sense
