I don't have a test socket just the one on mine, the noise margin has gone up nearly double which I guess is a good thing?

Am looking foward to anything over 8mb to be honest is fast enough for me.

I'm less than half a mile from the exchange, so hopefully that will work in my favour.
I haven't looked back at your previous posts for your connect stats, but I'll assume the downstream was 8128kbps and thus by being moved over to unlimited, the starting speed at 4096kbps, the SNR will shoot up meaning more room for speed to be pushed out.

Your attenuation would suggest around 11mb at most or thereabouts, but it really depends on the quality of your telephone line and although you may be half a mile from the exchange as the crow flies, you may be miles away with the way the cables are routed. However, I wouldn't get too caught up in that - you should end up with a nice unthrottled speed that will be a lot better than connect!

      Edit: Oh, and no problemos.

It's looking promising so far, speedtest results as follows:

It's only day 2 since activation, can I expect the dowload/upload/ping up/down more from here?

My noise margin is a worrying 5.6db - should I be concerned?

I'm hoping my noise margin doesn't get/stay too low so it's unstable..

      Re: Misold broadband

I've noticed the connection dropping off in the early hours (around 3-4am) briefly and then back on again over the last couple of nights - the first time it did it i noticed the connection speed increased after it recconected but last night it did it and no changes took place - is this the line optimising or should i be concerned because of the low noise margin?

      Thanks

DLM usually re-syncs around 3am, so it's probably to do with the training period. As long as the connection is surviving through the noisiest periods at night-time, then nothing to worry about.

      Re: Misold broadband

Thank you for the reassurance, so it won't keep on disconnecting in the early hours once DLM has finished?
