That's probably the highest your going to go.
Your line is also on Adsl2+ Which might cause a few problems.

Do you have Noise on the line? Your Noise margin is a little low..

Plug into the test socket if you have one and repost stats.

As you have the netgear v1 you can look at the detailed stats to see what mode you are connected with, use the link below:

      Mel's Notes: Dg834gt-1skuk

Once you have clicked on the above link, you them click the detailed stats button log into the router as you would normally, then you will see a window with the detailed router stats and will show if you are connected using ADSL2+ or G.DMT, if you are connected with ADSL2+ them phone sky ask for CST and ask them to change the mode back to G.DMT as your line does not seem to like ADSL2+.

Hi there, I have recently upgraded to the unlimited package. I have seen no (noticeable) increase in download speed when testing via broadband speedchecker etc. My details are below should I be able to get higher speeds?

      Thanks in advance

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 10235 kbps 604 kbps
Line Attenuation 16 db 4 db
Noise Margin 18 db 16 db

Yes - around 16-18mb or so after DLM finishes.

      Thanks for the response.

I upgrade on the 22nd of December - should DLM have finished by now? Admittedly I have powered off the router a couple of times in the last fortnight, would this have interfered with DLM?

I would now recommend that you phone sky and ask CST to manually configure the line as you should get aleast 16Mb.

Sky broadband is ****. They're worse than Tiscali and I thought Tiscali were bad. connect or not, it's supposed to be 8meg and I can't get to play any online game without lag and I can't even upload to youtube and browse at the same time.

8meg! They're beaking the law and getting away with it!

Stuck with this ****ty company for 2 years.

I don't care! They lied in their terms and conditions and I am ****** about it! It should say "up to 56k", not "up to 8meg" if you never ever get anywhere near up to 8meg speeds.

      "Bt re-badged"

It's Sky that slow you down, not BT.
