That's according to test sites but it feels like 56k 80% of the time (even worse at times).

Can I still get the unlimited package even though it's not available in my area just to get rid of this extreme bandwidth restriction?

In other words, can I pay extra to get faster speeds?

      in a word - no

Connect is an issue and the only way of it getting better is to move ISP

We still have about 2 years left on our contract.

And what happens when I go over my 40gb usage limit? Will this cost extra?

      Just curious.

Edit 10Ggb I mean. Forgot about the change.

Chances are you never will get over the 40GB, but if you do I don't know what's going on in terms of penalty - last I heard you just get an email but tbh I've no idea...

Ok. I've never quite understood these usage limits so I just thought I'd ask. They don't tell you what will happen if you do go over it (or maybe they do but I just don't know where to look).

True the throttling is so severe I will be amazed you will even want to sit at your computer.

You mentioned 10GB a Mnth Bandwidth? Are you on connect or are you on Everyday.
Check your MySky account via Sky.com and see what package you are actually on or Phone Sky.

If you got upgraded then you should have Unlimited available to you.
If you didn't then your pretty much Fricked...

As adivsed, if your on connect your stuffed.

Ignore the contract, the service is not fit for service and so you will inccur no penalty, many people have left in contract without problems.

Just ring and ask for your MAC code, it is also worth checking your exchange to see if anyone else is in there with their own LLU equipment.
