The wiring is still pulling down the connection speed. You need to either remove all the extensions or fit a filtered faceplate.

As IWNTE says, a filtered faceplate not an i-plate which does very little.

Re: Good or Bad can someone advise??

      Cheers Guys

So if I plug the router straight into this hopefully it should speed things up then??

One other question then if I may, in the "Main" socket there is another wire that feeds to a junction box and that feeds 2 extensions in the living room and upstairs.

      Box is like this http://www.run-it-direct.co.uk/BT80A.html

Will I need the one above or the 6 way, not sure and want to get it right, or is it the 6 way if you want to run an extension to the modem in another room

Sorry to be such a bone head on this

Re: Good or Bad can someone advise??

As long as the other wire that feeds the junction box is connected to the 5 & 2 terminals on the back of the removable faceplate then that is fine, if it is connected directly to the incomming line at the a&b terminals at the very rear of the master socket then they need moving to the 2 & 5 connections on the faceplate.

When you fit the fitered faceplate, you will just copy the wires positions from the old to the new and then that will isolate the ADSL from all the existing wiring and give you the best connection you can get.
