      Rahat,
Will they have to the ten day automatic test thingy to get the best result or should they be able to do something manually?

      Re: Sky Unlimited question

Sorry for the late reply mate but they should be able to adjust it now, worth a try. When i joined O2 they were willing to change the T NM while DLM was running, not getting your hopes up as Sky's DLM is completely different.

The problem is not that the DLM is different, it is that the Customer Support is well, much better with O2.

      Cheers guys,
Just been onto Sky and they've upped the line, so the results now are:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8295 kbps 604 kbps
Line Attenuation 40 db 21 db
Noise Margin 8 db 16 db

      Cheers

It is different in the way it is carried out. O2 set your line to the max speed it can connect at on the first day of DLM whereas Sky start off with a high noise margin and lower it, looking for stability.

There is still room for the upstream speed to be increased, you should see around the 1Mb mark.
