      slow d/l speeds ???

      hi all

after some help, moved about 8 weeks ago to a house nearer to same exchange as previously. On sky unlimited, router stats :

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9215 kbps 934 kbps
Line Attenuation 31.5 db 17.6 db
Noise Margin 13.8 db 8.0 db

Did a few speedtest when first moved in and was getting around the 9mb mark, now all i get is

      http://www.speedtest.net/result/667525471.png

      down 0.62 Mbps
      0.78 Mbps

Only have one bt socket in the house, the older style so no confusion over where adsl filter is etc

any ideas why it so slow ?

      Thanks

If you're using wireless, try a wire, you are syncing at 9mb so it looks to be an issue with your setup.

You do have it plugged in first, before any splitters?

It look like your line could get a bit more speed, give Sky a ring and ask them to raise the cap.

As Smithy says, if you are using wireless, check your speed with an ethernet cable.

If you are not using wireless, try starting in Safe Mode with networking and check your speed here Sky User - Broadband Speed Tester
