Why do I keep getting D/C

ok here is my line stats

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 13856 kbps 1113 kbps
Line Attenuation 25.0 db 11.8 db
Noise Margin 7.4 db 8.5 db

The problem was couple of weeks ago I was perfectly happy with Sky BB syncing at 8Mb down and around 80k up but suddenly I think I went into DLM mode and my Download/Upload increased to that above which i am happy about but the problem is that I keep being disconnected and I get a new IP everytime, normally i would not mind but some services which i need are IP specific.
I have posted here before complaining about the fact that I used to have Bulldog a couple of years ago and used to get higher speeds ie 14Mb and when I switched to Sky I must have got put on a 8MB profile ,I complained but they said my line could not handle it etc ...
So what Can i do now any suggestions apart from phoning sky and telling them to lower my line speeds so its stable?

Take your stats from the Test socket and post them here. You may have issues with your internal wiring.

Re: Why do I keep getting D/C

It is possible DLM is running on your line, this causes it to disconnect at intervals. Give it a few more days and if it does not improve, phone Sky and ask them what is going on.

You may find that DynDNS.com - Services -- Dynamic DNS Free (DDNS) Service useful. No matter how good your connection is, it is still likely to drop and change your IP.
