      moving to sbb

      Hi
After having connection problems with my bt 8mb con,i am changing over to sky bb.

BT 8mb con has been unstable unreliable and just unusable most of the time in the evening
Spent endless hours on the phone trying to get the issue fixed to no avail.
After roughly 6pm my con drops from anything upto 10 times an hour, totally random.through the daytime the con seems stable, and only drops occasionaly.

I use my internet mostly for online games,so u can imagine what a head ache it is when the con drops

Heres hoping sky is gona be more reliable,im told they dont use bt equipment,so that alone is good news for starters.

any comments you guys would like to post on sky bb for online gaming would be welcome

      thnx in advance

      Welcome to the site silvermoon

Sorry to see the problems you are having with BT.

You will read quite a few horror story's on here about SkyBB and and its very true that SkyBB are having problems and a lot of them are about getting activated and guess who does that your mates at BT

I have not had a problem with SkyBB sine I went live on the 12th Sept and as for gaming my son plays online all the time and hes never complained about any problems and hes 17 so if there were I would have had an earache by now

      Good luck with your order
      Ray

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      thanks for the welcome Wheelie

sorry to hear about the activation/connection problems.
It doesnt surprise me one bit,if BT has anything to do with it /sigh

Even if i get a few problems with getting sky bb activated,u wont belive how happy i will be to have a stable conn again.

wish i had stayed with my old adsl1 conn of 2 meg,it was 100% stable.
ah well sky is on its way, hopefully it wont be to long await....
