    losing connection

      losing connection

      For the last 2 days i have been having randomly disconnecting - not sure if its due to the weather, but seeing if any one else has been getting this and if so what to do =]

      router stats

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 14230 kbps 760 kbps
      Line Attenuation 29 db 14 db
      Noise Margin 4 db 17 db

      Your noise margin is very low, try re-syncing the router to see if you can get it back to around 7db.

      You might have to power cycle your router, ie, pull the power plug out for a minute and put it back in again. You may have to do this a couple of times to get a decent noise margin.

      what is roughly a decent noise margin ?
