Re: What have Sky done to my phone line?

I have just spoken to someone at BT who said Openreach own all UK phone numbers, although if they want to, Sky can refuse to port my phone number to another broadband provider, although it's extremely rare for this to happen.
So, if I leave Sky, who do I go with next?

if O2 are LLU at your exchnage I'd go with them.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

      Which? magazine said the following:

Five broadband ISPs performed so badly in the Which? broadband survey that we've rated them as Which? Don't Buys.

      Tiscali
      Karoo
      Pipex
      Orange
      AOL

Re: What have Sky done to my phone line?

I would never move line rental away from BT. Better to have a choice of LLU operators that can be moved between easily than only have one choice.
Learnt that the hard way when VM started shafting its customers.
