If you're on Mid then you already have a port, the rest is done their end.

Chances are you are on their new SVBN network, they still haven't got a proceedure to follow yet for upgrades. Just use it like it was Unlimited, they will soon upgrade you

Re: sky can't upgrade me ??

      hi all

sorry to drag this up again but have more info.

sky comferms im not on there new system, they infact not got clue why i can't be upgraded.

but i have notice my Wan connection drops every single morring well for pass 3 days roughly same time of 6:30am ,but is fine all day and night

also is it normal for noise margin to swig roughly 3.db ?? in morrings i got noise margin of 12db but by 7pm its droped to 9.8db

for now im giving sky the chance to sort problems out,but won't last much longer

      thanks

Yup the noise margin can swing that much, especially at this time of year when all the Xmas lights come on and are fairly poorly sheilded.

Your best bet is to reset the router between 10pm and midnight when the noise on your line is greatest.

Your router will then synch at a slightly lower speed but you should then stay up all the time.

Are you sure DLM is not running on your line. What you are experiencing is a symptom of that. If the lowest your line drops is 9.8dbs, you should not be loosing the connection. You are also certain you are on Mid and not Connect?

Post your stats and let us have a look.

Re: sky can't upgrade me ??

Definately on Everyday. You have an excellent speed for your attenuation, I doubt if you will get a lot more. Your noise margin seems to indicate that you could get another 1Mb+ so it looks like you are capped.
Upgrading to Unlimited will not get you any more speed than you can get on Everyday so I would just carry on regardless. When they sort their problems out ,Sky will upgrade you automatically if you exceed the allowance.
