Sky Broadband Downgrade Due To Move

Hello to all. Next week we are due to move home and after some investigation, it looks like i am going to go from being on Sky Unlimited at around 13MB to Sky Connect, due to the village not having any sky equipment at the exchange! My question is really, is it worth staying with sky and being charged about 17 a month? Thanks in advance. Paul.

Only you can decide whether you think paying 17 per month for a pretty dire broadband service is worth it or not.

      What's the new exchange?

i'd stay clear of Connect if you can - best go for one of the other recommended on here by others who left Connect...

Thanks for the feedback folks. Not many options at the exchange from what it seems. Just seems that connect is still a bit cheaper than others?

In this case cheapest is most certainly not best. As advised check out the other providers.

as with anything you get what you pay for...Connect used to be good before the shaping, might go back that way one day...

Others who have left Connect have recommended, ADSL24, IDNet and Plusnet, all better than Connect. O2 Access may also be an option, a look at O2User may give you some pointers there.

Re: Sky Broadband Downgrade Due To Move

Recently I have read a lot of bad reports for ADSL24, Plusnet, and o2 Access.

It's a little hard for people to recommend unless they have actually moved to a non LLU product to help you make an informed decision.

Re: Sky Broadband Downgrade Due To Move

Hi. Cheers for all the info, really appreciated. Just been reading up about ADSL24, Plusnet, and o2 Access oddly enough. Very mixed reports as you say, running out of options it seems.
