You are still quite heavily capped. You should get 12 Mb or more.

Re: sudden speed drop to 1.3mb

im still on the mid package max 10mb for another 3 weeks or so. i have just emailed them again though to ask them to see how fast they can push it ive sent the same email 3 times now and each time they raise the speed just a little bit to keep me happy why are they doing that? why dont they just make it as fast as the line will cope with
are they trying to save money by restricting peoples bandwidth?

Re: sudden speed drop to 1.3mb

You will have to bite the bullet and get on the phone. Email works OK sometimes, but more often it is slow and misunderstandings happen too easily. It looks to me like you are on the old Mid speeds, 8000/412kbps, your line has not been reconfigured for the new Everyday speeds, ie 10000/600 kbps. Phone and ask them to change you to the new speeds.

Sky are not trying to save money, they are employing some incompetent staff.

Re: sudden speed drop to 1.3mb

just had a reply from sky i must have chanced upon a decent chap this time he says he has fully reconfigured the line and given me the max he can although he seems to think if i upgraded i may get up to 17mb but for this package it is now at.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9983 kbps 412 kbps
Line Attenuation 34.5 db 20.2 db
Noise Margin 15.3 db 27.0 db

      great stuff got there eventually

Re: sudden speed drop to 1.3mb

All you need to do now is get them to increase your upload, it should be 606kbps. When that is done, sit back and enjoy
