      Angry Lag Lag Lag Lag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Hello could someone please check my eyes. These are the speeds I have to work with while playing online. I hear so many people complaining about their speeds and lag that I decided to share mine. People leave threads about laggy gaming, and upon checking their speeds I am shocked. I see figures like 10mb+ download and over 0.5mb upload. My result is a mm thick bar whilst the average ISP rating is a skyscraper in comparison. Quite honestly this is the 21st century and lag should no longer be an issue. I have the top package sky can offer including unlimited downloads. I don't want people to leave threads showing their connection speed at its superb best. But rather ask the question is this the worst broadband speed ever recorded in the UK. Bearing in mind I run 2 xbox live accounts regularly. Believe me I know what lag is and I truly hate it. It wastes my xbox live subscription money every year and I thought technology would have advanced by now to remove it entirely. If you have worst speeds please comment, if your speeds spank mine then leave a message on the variance of speeds people receive and its fairness?? Anyway these are the speeds=>
      Download=>0.23mb/s
      Upload=>0.34mb/s
      Ping=>100ms
      A 5mb file 3mins

      D is concerning. Most online applications will not perform well but should function in some capacity. Try testing to other servers to verify the result. You might need to contact your ISP for help.

      You would be better posting your router stats if you want any help.

      Nowhere near!

      As stated, we'll need more information to help further. Verify the following first:

      1. Ensure to each of the telephone sockets in use in the house have a microfilter connected (white boxes that sky sent out with 'modem' and 'phone' ports).

      2. If you have any sky tv splitters connected to the set-up (these will be blank white two way splitter boxes) then ensure that it is AFTER the filter on the phone port.

      3. Do you have any noise on your landline telephone whilst in use, such as crackles/pops/static etc.?

      4. The 'adsl' cable that runs from the router to the filter should be a short light grey cable that sky supplied. If it is an extension cable, then change it for the sky supplied dsl cable.

      5. Is the broadband plugged into your master socket? If not, get into your master socket which is the first socket that comes into the house (it will usually have a BT/openreach logo in the top left, the two screws in the bottom half and a horizontal split through the socket).

      Take your stats from the master socket and note them; then take the stats from your test socket (link below for both stats and test socket) and post them up.

      How to test your ADSL in the Master Socket

      Re: Lag Lag Lag Lag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      P.s are these bad internet speeds i think they are. Bt is now offering faster internet for people who had been receiving unfair speeds. What is sky doing to crack down on peoples speed issues??????????????????????? The quote from the speed tester is a mere 100ms ping. An example is call of duty red bar is only given to pings exceeding 300ms, I have red bar all the time, wobbly brain fryingly irritating speeds. If someone can find out how to get decent internet for everyone I would love to know there number they would be a worthy millionaire

      Re: Lag Lag Lag Lag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      You are not on Max, these appear to be Sky Connect speeds. Have a look at this thread (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users it contains a lot of info on the Connect package.

      Check your MySky, Broadband details to see which package you are on. You can also try the BT Speedtester, linked in the above thread.
