      just tried test socket and its exactly the same so looks like thats as quick as it will go.

      Thought being a mile from the exchange (by road) was pretty good (.5 of a mile) direct.

      Gonna be hard to get used to as moved house where i had cable and got 20Mb down. Not the end of the world though.

      You could be next to the exchange and the line to the house could go in a big loop before it got to the house. Thats BT for ya.
