    does ADSL2 require a MAC ?

      Just spotted this post elsewhere on the internet.

      I called BT today and they are still doing the free connection for new/returning customer (not available online) just call 0800 800 150 and tell them you want new line free connection.

      As O2 is enabled at your exchange I would recommend them at the moment. Obviously you'll have to wait until you get the phone line sorted first.

      I would get onto BT to get the process of your line going back to them started now as it could take a while for them to provision you, especially with Xmas coming up.

      When we moved from cable to BT, BT were quite good on getting their line up and running on the day the cable phone was shut down as we gace them a couple of weeks notice.

      Just like talk talk this new network means that Sky not only has lower running costs but also traps their customers into their products without an easy get out. I'm surprised that Ofcom hasn't looked into this before.
      I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!
