      Why is this so complicated?

      Basically, i ordered sky broadband a few weeks ago, and we got the letter saying that the activation date is on the 29th of December, which is really odd and seemed so far away, so we rung them up and they said that there is a waiting list and that they cant join everyone up straight away or it would crash the servers.

      Then our friend also joined up to sky broadband (same package as us) a few days ago, and he got a letter through saying that his activation would be the 9th of December

      Now what is going on?

      Phone them back and threaten to cancel, this usually concentrates their minds a little.

      Tbh why create such a situation where it will get complicated. Maybe your exchange is far from where you live? You'll get the broadband in the end, just be patient.

      Did they tell you what package was available to you?
      If it's connect, then there may be a wait for spaces.
      If it's not then I don't know what is going on, perhaps they are upgrading your exchange.

      You friend could be on a different exchange than you which has spaces on it.
