      wireless broadband on a notebook

      Hi
I have a just acquired a notebook and have no CD drive for the machine.I wish to get Sky Broadband and use the notebook with a wireless connection to the modem.

The last time I installed broadband I needed to connect a wire to the modem and also to my computer and ithen nstall software via a CD onto the computer.Broadband was then up and running.

However with a notebook I cannot insert a CD in the machine and I am not sure whether there is a connection for the broadband cable either.

How can I get wireless network on my notebook?

Cool re: wireless broadband on a notebook

You could use an External DVD-Rewriter connected to a usb port.
The sky cd is only needed for McAfee A/V software but you can download this straight from the McAfee site.

All you should need to do is boot up your netbook, and run the wireless wizard,
It will find your wireless network and all you then have to do is type in your passcode.
The Sky CD makes a nice drinks coaster, its not much use for anything else.
