    Can't Connect to Network

      I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that. If you mean it doesn't display the name SKYnnnnn in the Network & Sharing Centre then it wouldn't do as this is the name of the wireless network only, and as you're connected via LAN it wouldn't apply.

      It's used to display SKY01014 whilst connected to LAN. The Vista machine connects to SKY01014 via Ethernet or wireless. I don't think it's worth bothering with anymore to be honest. It will probably bug me but at least it works. The odd reboot wont kill me. I think it's one of those issues which would require somebody to actually see it. My explanations over the net probably don't explain a great deal. Thanks for your help anyway.

      Windows will only display the actual router name after it's picked it up from wireless - if you've only ever used Ethernet it will say something like 'network'...nothing to worry about so long as it says your access is 'Local and Internet'...
