Presumably the download speed is that reported in the box in Internet Explorer. Several factors can affect speeds- how busy the site is, general internet traffic etc. You say this has been happening for some time. Have you contacted Sky to see if DLM is running on your line? That can play havoc with your speed- up and down like a yo-yo!

      Re: Speed issues

Been in contact with Sky and they just sent me another router LOL they denied anything was wrong with my connection and that my router must be knackered. The new router fixed it for a short while and then it went the same way (disconnecting and needing to be reset to regain download speeds ).

      Re: Speed issues

OK. Have you been through the many useful posts on this site with regard to checking of your phone line? Removing the ring wire, fitting faceplate filters, putting the router next to and connecting directly to, the master socket? Do you have a new style NTE5 master with the split faceplate? Once you are satisfied the phone line is as good as you can get it then we can look at other areas, possibly the PC you are using to measure the speeds.
