      four days in and want to move

      hi all just joined sky 4 days ago
      my stats are http://speed.io/pics/2529/0507/speed.io.png
      i understand it could take ten days to even out but i can not see a very big
      improvment

      looking at my router
      conection up---1021----down---606
      line 51 31
      noise 7 11
      i am not puged in to the main socket but will that make a very big diffrence
      my pakage is ten meg /everyday
      any help please is it worth cancelling before the eitht day is over

      The TEST socket underneath the master socket faceplate might.

      Plugging into the Test socket can make a very big difference. Please try that, link below and post again. Can you please also copy and paste your stats to the post.

      will test it tomorow
      but will it make download jump up from 800 to a fast speed say somthing like 3 or 4 meg

      if speed is no where what im paying for
      will i be able ot cancel my contract before the 8 day are up

      What was the estimate you were given when you joined? If you don't get that then I imagine you could leave even if the 8 days were up.

      You will not find your speed jumping up when you plug into the Test socket, but your noise margin should.

      i was told anything up to 3.5 meg
      but looking at some other post they where told the same and have got a lot faster speed
      at the moment my virgin line wont be disconected till the 5 nov
      whold it be easy to move back and what happens to the new router

      isitme what is the point of pluging in to test socket to get noise up
      when it wil not alter the speed at the end of the day dont i need more down load speed

      pardon my ignorance isitme but i know nothing at all about broadband
