Re: ARGHHHHHH My Speed Wont Stop Changing

Firstly, stop tunring off your router, this is causing the router to re-sync and DLM may see this as an error and reduce your speed.

At the moment you seem to be capped, You may want to try a re-sync now to see if your noise margin drops and your speed increases, post your stats after you have done this.

Hi as Smithy99 said please do not turn your router off also if you stand it up and not lie it down flat better for the router

Smithy99 Firstly, stop turning off your router, this is causing the router to re-sync and DLM may see this as an error and reduce your speed. At the moment you seem to be capped, You may want to try a re-sync now to see if your noise margin drops and your speed increases, post your stats after you have done this.

Matty, with your attenuation, you should be able to get a stable 6mb or more.

I doubt if you are even on ADSL2+ yet. I have been advised that DLM runs on G.DMT connections, but I'm not convinced.

If you have the GT router as your Profile says, go here - Mel's Notes: Dg834gt-1skuk click the Detailed Stats button and post all but the Ping section here.

Re: ARGHHHHHH My Speed Wont Stop Changing

As you have the GT I am going to assume that you have been connected for some time. If I am correct, call Sky and ask them to lift the cap on your line or move you to ADSL2+, you should be able to get 7Mbs.

The only problem may be that even at your low speed you are showing errors, this could be down to your internal wiring, so if you have one, try plugging into the Test socket, link below. With your very high Noise Margin at the moment, I doubt if you will see much difference, but you never know until you try.
