Loss of speed after downtime at exchange.

Lost connection for about 4 hours yesterday, rang Sky who informed me that was a fault at exchange (Lancaster). Came back online yesterday evening, buy I have lost about 1mb, was connecting at 5022 but only getting 4093 now.

I was DLM'd a few months ago which dropped my reasonably steady 6mb down to 5mb. MySKY still says should get 5mb??

Any ideas, is it worth ringing Sky?

what you get in your test socket? and post your stats as opposed to just sync speed as without knowing the SNR it's useless...

Re: Loss of speed after downtime at exchange.

Your line seems to have been moved to ADSL2+ which seems to have slowed your connection a bit. Your speed would be higher with your connection moved back to G.DMT. If you wanted the higher speed you would need to contact sky ask for CST and ask them to change the profile back to G.DMT, it would give a lower attenuation figure and don't forget to get the upstream speed increased as well as this seems to get forgot.
