      browser can't establish connection

      Evening all....it's a biggie!!
I am having real trouble connecting to the internet through firefox and internet explorer. The weird thing is my wifes computer has no problems. Mine works for about 10 minutes then comes up with the 'problem loading page' message.

My wireless connection is still fine and MSN messenger still works, so the internet is on but nothing works through the browser even the router logon. Through all this my wifes computer can do all of the above.
We are using the same software and wireless cards. I have tried setting static IPs as well as automatic. The router is set up as instructed in this thread Router Freeze, Loss of Connection Possible Fix .
I suspected i had a virus but norton says not after a full scan.
I have no software firewall on and have tried using the gigabyte wireless utility (that came with the card) and windows.
I have also tried enabling/disabling wireless zero configuration service. I have even tried ip release and renew in DOS.
All i can think of to do is reinstall windows or maybe format my hard drive and start again.
Please help before i do something drastic!!

I have same issue. I can get onto wifi internet in hotels, airports etc all over Europe it would appear, but even though I am getting a wireless connection to the internet via skybroadband, my internet browser will for some reason not connect.

Any assistance would be welcomed, as I have tried pretty much the same possible fixes as yourself.

      Anyone got any bright ideas?

      Welcome to the site Wiggers

Sorry guys the only thing I can think of is changing the Mode from g & b to Auto 108 as thats the kind of problem I was having with the 5 PC's connected to mine and that sorted the problem out for me anyway.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
