      Router Log

Hi, I've been having alot of problems over recent weeks with slow speeds looking at my router log during this time there's been a lot of entries like the one below can anyone explain what they mean and if they could be the reason?

Send out NTP request to ntp1.isp.sky.com
      Receive NTP Reply from ntp1.isp.sky.com

      (sometimes its ntp2)

      Re: Router Log

An NTP request is a Network Time Protocol request to/from an NTP server. Essentially your router is trying to synchronize the time with the server you have listed in the log message.

Thanks, what causes this as it doesn't look like this has happened previously?

      Re: Router Log

It should happen regularly by default, nothing to worry about.
