      Conection keeps dropping

I've had Sky broadband for a few years now and had no issues with it. However, just recently my connection has continually dropped out whilst using it. I have looked at the sky help centre and all that suggests I do is change the channel to either 1, 6 or 11. I tried that, completely lost connection (even my wireless enabled mobile couldn't pick up the router when I was in the same room as the router).

Any suggestions on how to get the connection stable again?

What is dropping, your wireless connection or the connection to the internet?

Download and run Netstumbler from the link below. This will show which networks are near you. Choose a channel as far from those in use as possible. Channel 13 is often free. Also change the Mode in your wireless settings to 'g only', this is often better than the other settings available. Note that this will not help if it is your internet connection that is dropping.
