      Wink sky dg934g and WNHDE111

hi guys ive finally moved my second router downstairs as my mothers laptop was not getten a constent 270mb on it because the router was upstairs now i do gaming on my xbox upstairs and also be thinking of getten a ps3 soon to. what i want to know is will this access point which ive seen on amazon for around 50 60 pound will that be good for gaming wise or do you think i should still get a proper dual band router. according to amazon it does 5ghz spectrum speed its black also i have a link sorry if links are banned but i thought id show you anyway Netgear 5 GHz Wireless-N HD Access Point/Bridge: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

it looks quite good one person bought it and gave 5 stars is it worth investing because my sky router is a netgear so is my second router or do you think it would be best to invest in a more exspensive one chears

You would be better buying a few homeplugs and running everything through them.

I am not sure what you mean by 5Ghz speed

If you mean 5Ghz wireless, that is the band it operates on nothing to do with speed. Homeplugs can be much faster and more stable than any type of wireless available. Any, but the very old ones, will be more than fast enough for any broadband.

You just plug one in beside the router and the other near your PC. If you need more than one connection you can use a switch with 4 or more ports, or you can use another router as a switch.

i saw thease ones at pc world
Netgear 200MBPS at PC World - Buy cheap Powerline Home Networking - Netgear 200MBPS Netgear 200 Mbps Kit

dunno if its worth it though cause what happens if theres a power cut or somthing it would mean i would need a ups or universal power supply battery backup

      Re: sky dg934g and WNHDE111

These are just about the most expensive ones I have seen. PCWorld is not well known for low prices. There is a good selection here, much better priced-

I think 85Mbps is plenty fast enough for most users.

What happens when you have a power cut is a good point, but what does your router and PC run on? Oil or gas?
