      Unhappy Another frustrated sky max customer

      Hi all, I've been on the Max package now for a few years. I used to get speeds of 13.5 mb now it is much lower. there was a few bt line problems which have been sorted and I got one of those faceplates from adsl nation. any ideas from the stats below?

      Your line is capped, ring Sky and advise them you have repaired a fault on your line and could they remove the speed cap.

      You will need to go through troubleshooting to do this with first line support but it will only be CST who can lift the cap so insist on speaking to them once all the usual checks have been done.

      You may want to connect directly to the test socket when you ring them or at least tell them you are

      Ringing in the evening at around 10:30pm can sometimes make speaking to CST a little easier.

      Thanks for that. Just wondering ready for when i call them, what are the signs that it is capped and what speed should i be getting?

      The fact that your noise margin is 17.7 db is an indication of the capping of your speed. If it were not capped this would normally be around 7db with a resultant increase in your connection speed.

      just tried rebooting on the off chance and its worse

      Erm no it's not, these are from your first post:

      Until you call up and get the cap removed it won't do anything.
